Rithvik Raja

Rithvik Raja is one of the leading young faces of Carnatic Music today. He was initiated into Carnatic Music at the age of 4 by his mother Sudha Raja and subsequently learnt from Sulochana Pattabhiraman. Since 2003, his advanced training under the guidance of T M Krishna has helped blossom into a fine young musician. His music is fresh, youthful and vibrant with a natural flair. His first public performance was at the age of 12, and became a full-fledged professional musician at the age of 19. He has extensively performed in India and has travelled all around the globe for many concerts, workshops and lectures. He has won all major competitions in Chennai and holds a number of prestigious awards to his credit. He has also had the good fortune of having been accompanied by some of the top artistes in the country today. He presently heads the YACM (Youth Association of Classical Music). He works closely with a number of organizations to create an awareness for the arts and help the youth of the country understand the underlying link between the arts and our own cultural traditions.
